In conversation with Kitco News at the XPLOR conference in October 2025, our CEO, Robert Wares, reaffirmed copper’s bullish long-term outlook as global production declines by 7% and China tightens its grip on refining capacity, creating a growing supply gap that highlights the need to advance domestic processing and refining capabilities alongside strategic projects like Gaspé Copper. With drilling results revealing a larger-than-expected system and a new resource estimate due in February, Gaspé is emerging as a cornerstone asset for North America’s copper security.

“Gaspé Copper will be the largest wealth-creation event our group has seen in the past 23 years,” stated Executive Chairman John Burzynski during his presentation of Osisko Metals at the Denver Gold Group’s Mining Forum Americas 2025 Convention (September 15, 2025). The project currently has 10 active drills in their 110,000 meter active drilling campaign and is fully financed until FID. With scale, infrastructure, and funding in place, Gaspe Copper is positioned to become a flagship project in North American mining.
